He earned his Bachelor of Law from Faculty of Law, Airlangga University, majoring in Government Law and holds a Master of Law in Food Law from LUISS School of Law in Italy. He also has a mini-MBA in Global Governance from the Euopean Institute of Leadership & Management (EILM).

With over 20 years of experience in diplomacy and extensive legal practice in Indonesia during his early career as a lawyer, he specializes in international trade, investment (FDI & ODI), renewable energy, capacity building, sustainability, and development cooperation. Other areas of interest include lawmaking, norm-setting, international relations, negotiation, and dispute resolution.

He is fluent in English. He also enjoys listening to music and golfing.
